Latinx State of the Wine Industry Concludes with Successful Inaugural Summit Reveals Non-Profit Organization to Benefit from Event Proceeds

Presented by Hispanics in Wine and Uncorked and Cultured, the summit featured engaging panel discussions, powerful 1-1 conversations and successful networking sessions, moderated by Gabriela Fernandez of KVON’s The Big Sip

New York, NY – October 25, 2021 – Hispanics in Wine hosted its first ever “LatinX State of the Wine Industry” virtual summit on October 13, 2021, in collaboration with Uncorked and Cultured and moderated by Gabriela Fernandez of The Big Sip of KVON. Open to professionals, the press and amateur consumers, more than 120 guests attended the virtual event.

The inaugural virtual event featured a series of exciting panel discussions led by notable leaders from the Hispanic and LatinX industry, insightful 1-1 conversations, as well as engaging networking sessions and the ability to connect with sponsors and event partners in the virtual exhibition market, which promoted special offers, opportunities and initiatives. Through a completely immersive virtual experience, attendees were able to network, learn, support and connect with LatinX’s ever-growing wine community of producers, entrepreneurs and wine experts.

With a strong digital marketing campaign designed to create momentum and hype around the inaugural event, the social media promotion generated over 50 pieces of content, over 200,000 impressions and 1,000 likes (still in progress). growth), on all partner pages. Strategic media relations efforts have reached a reach of over 100,000 people, with coverage in major industry publications and sources.

With the mission to continue giving back, organizers are delighted to announce that 100% of ticket sales will be donated to The Botanical Bus, a non-profit organization comprised of a bilingual mobile herbal clinic that strengthens holistic health in LatinX and Indigenous populations through a culturally relevant approach. , community-based programs aimed at alleviating the growing health disparity in these communities, a disparity particularly exposed throughout the global pandemic. Their Farmworker Clinic meets people where there is, on trusted vineyard sites and family service centers, to provide upstream integrative health services, including massage, acupuncture, somatic therapy, clinical herbalism and health education.

“We are delighted to report that our inaugural event was a huge success,” said Lydia Richards and Maria Calvert, co-founders of Hispanics in Wine. “Through powerful storytelling and meaningful connections, it’s wonderful to witness the incredible talent and power of our diverse wine communities. Brought together through dialogue, we were able to assess and discuss the current industry landscape, which will allow us to work on concrete and concrete solutions to current issues affecting LatinX and all wine industry professionals at BIPOC.

Key sponsors for the event included the non-profit trade association Napa Valley Vintners, the world’s largest family-owned winery E. & J. Gallo Winery, the innovative Sippd wine app, and the market and communications platform online SevenFifty. The summit’s community partners, a group of like-minded organizations focused on diversity and inclusion efforts within the industry, included Lift Collective, The Roots Fund and Black / Brown.
