Well, Savannah Police say they received more than a dozen tips related to the mass shooting on Avery Street on June 11. Taniguchi is live tonight. Today, they are also setting up a new working group. Savannah Mayor Van Johnson is looking to create a new task force, this one aimed at tackling violent crime on a multi-jurisdictional level. He hopes to connect not only the Savannah and Chatham County Police Departments but also surrounding counties to ensure criminals don’t go unnoticed throughout the community. our community, ”Johnson said.
