Tim Tebow isn’t resting – not at all.
For years, Tebow has been actively involved in efforts to end human trafficking around the world. A committed Christian, he firmly believes it is “a call” for him to help other innocent victims of such a terrible crime.
Now, ahead of his 35th birthday on Sunday August 14, he is focused on building a new Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF) protection center in Thailand for 40 girls at a time.
It’s a place to keep the rescued girls safe – something they desperately need.
TIM TEBOW, MAN ON A MISSION: “EACH OF US CAN HAVE A LIFE THAT COUNTS”
Even after being rescued, he explained, they are in danger – as there are bounties on their heads as they prepare to testify in court against their traffickers.
“It’s such a priority for me because we think it’s one of the greatest evils in the world today,” he told Fox News Digital this week in an exclusive interview about his efforts. to combat human trafficking.

It’s not just the idea of human trafficking that’s so horrific, he said.
“It is the human exploitation of children” that must be stopped.

“It’s something I feel we are called to, our team is called to,” he said, referring to his team at the Tim Tebow Foundation and its many partners.
“And in a macro sense, we’re really called to help the most vulnerable people in the world, and those are some of the most vulnerable people.”
“Each of these lives is so precious. They are so loved by God and they better be loved by us.”
This effort, he said, “is something that has been very near and dear to my heart and Demi’s heart. And we both feel called to it at different times and in different ways, but for both of us, it’s such a passion for us,” he said, referring to his wife of more than two years, Demi-Leigh Tebow.
“Our whole team – it’s something that’s close to our hearts,” Tebow also said.
“Our mission statement is to bring faith, hope and love to those in need of a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”

“A lot of these girls and boys who are in these situations – it’s really their darkest hour of need. And that’s when we feel called – to chaos, to crisis – in these difficult places,” said he declared.
Tebow also said: “It’s easy for people to show up on other people’s best day. We want to be there on their worst day. We want to be able to help them on their worst day, so that one day they have their better day.”
He said that “Since my eyes were first opened to this evil almost ten years ago, it’s just something that’s been a huge call to me. And it’s something I know we’ll be doing for a long time.”
“Just in the past few days there have been many rescues in many countries, including here.”
“We can be part of rescues of young girls — to bring them restoration — and each of those rescues is a massive victory,” Tebow said.
“But we also want to have an impact globally, not just at the national level. We want to be able to tackle this in different ways, whether it’s in education about it, restoration and rehabilitation of it – all of the above. We try to fight in all of these different areas and in all of these places, with many partners and amazing people that we are so grateful for,” he said.

“Just in the past few days,” he added, “there have been many rescues in many countries, including here.”
“And there are so many stories of amazing survivors who went through such horrific times.”
Tebow added: “One of our non-negotiables is that we are on a rescue mission because we believe that Christ was on a rescue mission for us – and we must be on a rescue mission for mankind.”

Tebow told Fox News Digital, “When people are going through a tough time, it has to weigh on us.”

And “when you say ‘rescue mission,’ that puts it on a timeline,” he noted. “And we want to live by a timeline — not ours, but theirs. And that’s for every boy and every girl who goes through a tough time. For every boy and every girl who goes through a time of despair.”
“We don’t want to wait and feel comfortable because they don’t feel comfortable – and when people are going through a difficult time, that must overwhelm us. We need to reach out to them urgently.”
“Even though people have been rescued from trafficking, there are active threats against some of them.”
He mentioned his wife’s own campaign for this same issue – her birthday was in June – “and she campaigned for some of our international shelters, in the Philippines, with other partners there”.

Tebow – whose 35th birthday approaches on Sunday August 14 – said “this birthday campaign is so near and dear to our hearts because even though people have been rescued from trafficking, there are active threats against some of them. There are death threats, even prices on their heads,” he added.
“That way they won’t testify in court against their traffickers.”
“And so it’s so personal, because each of those lives is so precious,” he said. “They are so loved by God and they better be loved by us.”

Tim Tebow spoke to Fox News Digital this week about people who “never lived a safe life.” That is why he is fully dedicated to assisting victims of human trafficking and helping them find safe havens.

He also shared this powerful message, “I think we often take for granted how easy it is to live in peace. But the truth is, a lot of people don’t. Some of them don’t. never did, not even for a day. They never lived a safe life.”
He continued, “Just put yourself in their shoes for a second and imagine living in fear every day. Knowing that the people who were supposed to like you sold you instead. The people who were supposed to like you instead abused you. of you.. The people who were supposed to cherish you instead exploited you.
“Our job is simply to provide as much protection, kindness and love as possible, and to point them to the Truth.”
“If this has been your experience all your life,” he said, “how do you know what the word ‘protection’ really means? How do you understand the difference between good and evil, when everything what you’ve been through is just bad?”

Tebow continued, “In my life, too many times I’ve wanted to do good, but I haven’t done it. I haven’t acted fast enough… I haven’t pushed hard enough.”
Now, however, he is challenging himself – and others – to help him in the fight against human trafficking.
He also returned to his faith: “They were worth dying for. They are worth fighting for.
